A versatile freelance musician who began playing the bass guitar at the age of 10, Douglas Barnett is one of Seattle's finest and busiest musicians.  He's performed, recorded and toured with many notable artists including Grammy Award Winners Deniece Williams, Dave Raynor, Phillip Bailey, Paul Brown, BJ Thomas, Eumir Deodato and Nancy Rumbel.  Grammy Award Nominees David Lanz, Greg Adams, Paul Speer and folk music legend Glenn Yarbrough.  And many notable Smooth Jazz luminaries including Jeff Kashiwa, Bobby Caldwell and Joyce Cooling.

Highly regarded and recognized as one of the Northwest’s most diverse musicians, Douglas' stellar musicianship, versatility and professionalism have placed him in great demand for both recording sessions and live performances.  Douglas lives in Gig Harbor, Washington with his wife and two daughters.
